Loving yourself and others

"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love" (1 John 4:7, 8).

Loving yourself and others demonstrates that you belong to God. God is love, and your decision to love others proves your connection to Him!

Let Positive Thinking be your focus

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things" (Philippians 4:8).

The source of many of life’s problems is our thoughts. Because thoughts eventually become reality, meditate on things that are just, pure, lovely, and of good report.

Love

1 Corithians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

13:5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

13:6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

13:7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserveres.

13:8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Keep the Bible's truths with you always

"SINCE ALL this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away" (Hebrews 2:1, AMP).

The Bible truths you’ve learned must stay with you always. Be careful not to allow them to slip away.

Meekness is a greatly-prized attribute

"The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way" (Psalm 25:9).

Meekness is a greatly-prized attribute. A meek-spirited person receives divine direction, and humbly allows God to lead and guide them into His plan for their lives.

Jesus, the True Vine

John 15:17 [Jesus states:] This is my command: Love each other.

The world needs more love. There is no better time than now to embrace this message. Right now there is someone who is in need - in need of something as small as a kind word.Today, think about what you can do to help somebody in some way.

Be Spiritually Enlightened

"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14).

The Word of God is spiritual-you must be spiritually enlightened to discern it. Expand your spiritual capacity and understanding by reading and meditating on the Word.

Renewing Your Mind

Romans 12:2 (New International Version)

2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

from http://www.biblegateway.com/

The world is full of prevailing standards and customs, many of which are not good in any respects to allowing you to be the "best' you that you can be. And, because of this they are opposite of what God's Word says. Remember His Word is everlasting and never changes. So by choosing not to conform to the 'negative' and counterproductive standards and customs of the world, you choose instead to be open to God's ways --- His good, pleasing and perfect will. By accepting and embracing God's ways you are renewing your mind, which in turn opens the door to changing the way you do things --- old ways for new ways. A renewed mind changes behaviors --- it all starts with the mind.

Decently and In Order

"Let all things be done decently and in order" (1 Corinthians 14:40).

When you strive to handle your affairs decently and in order, you are sure to prosper. God is a God of order-He flourishes and manifests Himself in orderly atmospheres.

from Creflo Dollar Ministries

When something is not in order, it is deemed out of order. We've all gone to a vending machine and wanted to buy an item from it, but there may been an 'out of order' sign on the machine or a flashing message or red light. As a result we could not purchase what we wanted. How then can we expect to accomplish successful tasks if we have not done an orderly or decent job? We might as well put an 'out of order' sign on it because it won't produce what we need. In order to be aligned with success, we must align ourselves with the Word of God.

Peace and love,

The Process of becoming Personally Acquainted

"Acquaint now yourself with Him [agree with God and show yourself to be conformed to His will] and be at peace; by that [you shall prosper and great] good shall come to you. Receive, I pray you, the law and instruction from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart" (Job 22:21, 22, AMP).

Becoming acquainted with God is a process; it won’t happen overnight. However, by averting sin and receiving His Word in your heart, you conform to His will and position yourself for great good!

from Creflo Dollar Ministries

It is just as important for me, as it is for you, to become personally acquainted with God. My relationship with Him is one in which I must work on. Similarly, your relationship is to be of your own doing. It is time spent in His Word (the Bible), through prayer, and other duties that each of us form a bond that strengthens our relationship with Him. Like the song lyrics go, "Not my mother, not my father, but it's me oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer!"

With love,
Mya

Following the Psychological Path

Psychology is the study of behavior and the mind. Oftentimes we find ourselves questioning the behaviors and mindsets of people who deviate from the so-called norm. A good place to start to reveal the answers to these questions is by following the psychological path.
